Как известно, порт — один из наиболее знаковых и символически сложных элементов культуры. С одной стороны, порт принадлежит городу, с другой — всему миру. Владивосток с момента основания исторически связан как с Европой, так и с Азией.

Куратор основной программы: Сян Липин (КНР). «Порт — место, где очень многие вещи возникают впервые, предвосхищая подобное появление в других местах, — поясняет Липин. — В прибрежных городах формируются новые правила, определяя модель поведения и взаимодействия людей, государств. Мы говорим о соревновании между людьми, между человеком и природой».
